Service background
Mediamobile provides traffic information in real time, as well as forecasts based on detailed historical analysis of traffic in recent years.
Based on several years of research, Mediamobile has developed a routing algorithm integrating static data, real time data, short term (H+n) and long term (J+n) forecasts.
Service highlights
This exclusive service is useful while on the move, as well as for forward itinerary preparation. It can be accessed via the Internet (on the V-Trafic and Météo France web sites) or via the My V-Trafic iPhone application.
After having entered departure and destination points, the user can complete his request with transit points, and desired time of arrival.
The application proposes the fastest route to reach the user’s final destination, and indicates the time to destination in real traffic conditions.
The web interface provides the user with the following information:
- Route layout on map
- Travel time and estimated time of arrival
- Distance
- Textual step-by-step routing
- Traffic conditions on the indicated itinerary
- Additional useful information on the move: location of radars, weather disturbances…
