What it does
Mediamobile relies on analysis of historical data* in order to forecast traffic. This data enables a realistic estimate of the state of fluidity in road conditions and monitors traffic movement in the near future.
Journey times depend heavily on traffic risks whereby calculations take into account real-time traffic information (including ongoing events: traffic jams, accidents, roadwork ...) and weather forecasts.
As journey times are constantly evolving, each calculation involves integrating new information in real time, enriching the database directly. This process can continuously optimize the service for increased reliability and also fuels the dynamic route planner.
* Data stems from multiple data counter sources equipped with proven measuring systems to capture, tabulate, graph and analyze large amounts of raw data collected: loop counter classifiers, cameras, patrols...
How it works
This service is able to estimate and analyze different types of journey times:
- Standard routes in Ile-de-France (on the inner and outer ring roads, along the Seine river banks ...)
- Immediate departure routes
- Long routes that require extensive forecast data
- Short routes that require fast real-time data. This service is complementary to the road conditions and allows for a quicker overview of information.
